Day 5, the day of oppositions!

Daily Practice/Private Lesson
Minutes: 30/60 with Mdme Fedorova-Zhorella
Songs worked on: vocalizations, high range (... someone help me!!!), breath support, "You've got to be carefully taught", "A bit of earth", "All I need is the girl"- technique, musicality and interpretation. Also memorizing the lyrics. With so much going on right now, I'm having the worst time remembering what I'm singing about! Never mind connecting to it...

Live PerformanceShow/Venue: How to Succeed in Business without really trying.
Performer: Daniel Radcliffe, John Larroquette, Rose Hemingway, Tammy Blanchard, Christopher J. Hanke, Rob Barlett, Mary Faber, Ellen Harvey, Michael Park, Anderson Cooper and so many others!
What you enjoyed most: I liked the music (orchestration I should rather say...). I loved the choreography (nominated for Tony Awards this year!) and set design. I most enjoyed songs: Coffee break, she thinks/he thinks and also I believe in you. I know it sounds cheesy but I sort of felt the connection with "Ponty Finch". I do not want to elaborate on that cos I think everyone who knows what the show is about know what I mean. And what can I say, I'm glad he did well. There's a hope for me too then... thought I don't think I'm not that smart and clever, haha! ALSO there, a really funny story involving me and Daniel Radcliffe that happened to me today! No, I haven't met him I'm afraid (I did see him once last week though!) but it's still a good story, will write it at the end of this note! Also, thank you so much to Chanel Tang who shared this amazing musical theater experience with me! x

Healthy Meals
Description: Iceberg salad, tomatoes, olives, almonds, red peppers, mayo, parmesan wrapped in sun dried tomato and basil tortilla! Yumieee!!!

Fitness
Type of class: Ballet, Broadway Jazz
Instructor: Dorit Koppel and Sue Samuels.
I pulled everything I had inside me and did my absolute best today. It wasn't pretty but so much better than yesterday! Classes were easier though. I particulary liked Broadway Jazz class today. Sue Samuels is an incredible teacher, full of wit and positive energy. She also breaks down the routines as if I only had a quarter of a brain... which is quite accurate I guess! I am developing my "dancing brain" right now. It is growing... but it's a slow process and needs more classes like those taught by Sue. I love her.

And now about the day itself. Crazy... as usual. What else can you expect from New York though. Got up in a faul mood in the morning (knew exactly how to make Kurt's "baby cry" exercise...) but it soon got better, because... I went to Hirschfield Theater to purchase some tickets for the "How to Succeed..." show. What you need to know, I did look quite fancy this morning (before my dance classes!), I was wearing nice "Broadway Dance Center" shirt and a massive scarf (I do have a bit of a sore throat... which sucks!!!!) not to mention my new hair! I just left it growing and growing (cos I have to have it short all the time for the show I'm dancing in, so I took these few months as an opportunity to "go crazy" and leave my hair alone) and I'm not sure how to keep them under control. It worked this morning though, apparently! So back to the story, I'm making a phone call just outside Hirschfield Theater and a group of about 3-5 people passed me by, STARRING at me.  Few seconds later I hear "OH MY GOD THAT'S TOTALLY DANIEL RADCLIFFE!". I've turned around to see him but I've seen realized he's not here and I'm their own little Daniel. MADE MY DAY! At first I thought I would show myself to them and explain I'm actually not a movie  and musical theater star but I've changed my mind quite quickly, put my sun glasses on and turned around so they couldn't see my face properly, haha! They LOVED it... and stood in the distance, just checking me out for a few minutes, giggling, sighing and looking for a camera, as I was trying to make a phone call and walking nervously up and down the theater's entrance. They made me happy and I'm sure they were delighted too! I made sure they didn't see my face properly (but either facing the other way, or looking down with sunglasses on) so I'd love to see their facebook status updates "I'VE SEEN DANIEL RADCLIFFE TODAY!!!" Haha. Does it make me a bad person, I hope not! Could it count as a charity/good deed thing? Making someone random happy? HAHA!!! Ok, and then I got two rush tickets for the show! SCORE!
