Day 8, and the first week's over!

Daily Practice/Live Performance:
At least 30min of vocalizations (mostly Kurt Robinson and Kelley King's)

Rehearsal followed by 2 performances of "I've seen all good people" by Yes at Symphony Space. I had 8 bars of a solo and it's a tough one! Goes all the way to B (just below high C) so it took me a while to "master it". I think it went really well today! Will have to listen to the recording. Anyways, thank you everyone who performed in Bettina's piece! It was an absolute pleasure and I'm so glad I was a part of it. Never mind the acoustics guys fucked up. It's them who suck at their jobs, not us, we rocked! Thank you one more time!

I also polished some of the lyrics I've managed to memorize (musical theater pieces)
A long day... and I'm very sad to say, that going back and forth from hot and humid backstage into air-conditioned, cold and dry auditorium killed my vocal chords. Luckily it's not too bad, but it's sore...

Fitness:
Ballet class with Dawn Hillen. Oh dear she's hilarious!!!! I enjoyed that class a lot. It was very very basic and I think I've finally understood the essential foundations of ballet posture, carriage and arm movements! Nobody's ever explained them that well to me! I couldn't take a picture with her cos I was rushing to the Symphony Space.  I took a photo of my complete BDC ISVP card, showing all the classes I've taken this week.

Healthy Meals:
Subway! 9 grain bread with turkey breast, blackforest ham, lettuce, tomatoes and honey mustard sauce.

I am so tired... but no rest for the wicked, got to work even harder this upcoming week (will rest once I'm on the top!! haha)! I need to learn how to dance (or at least present myself properly) and battle through my vocal infirmities. I will do my best to enjoy it more as well. I do well realize I might not make it to where I want to get, so I guess I should start enjoying the process! As "it's the journey that matters in the end"!
